  • Architects: GEB Design, Chang Kyu Lee
  • Project time frame: 2016–2017
  • Type of building: Residential building
  • Product: AQUAPANEL® Cement Board Outdoor
  • Application area: 471 m2 façade

Under the name “A House”, South Korean architect Chang Kyu Lee designed a single-family residential house in the city of Yong-in. The challenge for the architect was to comply with local regulations, which prescribed a simple volume with a gable roof, and the client’s wish to create a close connection within the house’s three different stories to maintain the family members connected. The solution is a simple exterior form with an intricate interior, featuring an orchestration of open spaces, and several sources of natural light flooding the inside.
