For the whole Knauf Group, education has been a highly valued success factor. As a result, the transfer of theoretical and practical knowledge is of major importance, also at Aquapanel. Since 2007 this precept even has its own institution - the International Training Centre. First located in Iserlohn, the centre moved to Knauf Aquapanel´s location at Dortmund Airport in 2015. The modern, spacious centre is used for trainings of Knauf customers, as a training location for the Knauf Academy and as a conference venue for the entire Knauf Group. In its first two years at the new location, more than 200 training events were held there with over 2,000 attendees.
The Training Centre offers perfect conditions since it has ideal connections, not only to the airport but also to the region’s major highways. It features state-of-the-art equipment, with seminar rooms boasting up-to-date conference technology and a practice room that is equipped with tailor-made facilities. Featuring special sound insulation, this workshop offers the chance to handle and test all products from the categories ceiling, wall, floor and façade. Further amenities comprise a conference room, a lounge and catering area, a showroom of typical solution models, and a reading area with specialist literature and brochures.
The Training Centre’s well-equipped rooms allow partners and customers to take part in a wide range of high-level seminars, always based on the latest developments in the building sector. Knauf Aquapanel GmbH & Co. KG welcomes visitors from around the world to AQUAPANEL® system trainings there. The centre’s agenda also includes a multitude of topics from Knauf Aquapanel GmbH, ranging from innovative reconstruction methods, the interior insulation of timbered buildings, mould prevention, through to courses on floor systems and levelling compounds. The Centre even holds certification courses on Knauf Exterior Wall for specialist companies or even basic legal training for craftsmen. Besides on-site trainings, Knauf Aquapanel also organizes regular group excursions to high-ranking reference objects throughout Germany, such as the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie or the Allianz Arena in Munich.
Besides detailed content and their professional transfer, visitors also appreciate another added value: a fruitful exchange with colleagues and the multitude of tips, tricks, and instructive experience which are still best communicated through personal contact – in the International Training Centre next to Dortmund Airport.
